Things to look Forward to...

Moon of Fire & Off Center!

Greetings from my WILD Hunter moon energy! This particular full moon had a great effect on me. I hope that everyone is feeling the energy of moving on from what no longer serves you, allowing your soul to move toward it's true destiny.

For me, I have been dealing with a few roadblocks connected to the strength of my left hand. It was discovered last summer that I have tendinitis in my left hand and now a cyst on my ring finger tendon that is causing significant pain whether I am paying guitar or not. I have come to accept this challenge, not allowing it to change the course of where I know I am truly intended be. There are many days I wake up with aching pain throughout my hand and other's I barely notice until I accidently bump it or use it in a way that aggravates the tendons. I am not giving up on healing myself without surgery. I have been a writing lunatic since the summer, a few instrumentals, a lyrical song and an enormous amount of poetry flowing through me into journals. Some of the poetry I have shared here but I am so excited and grateful to announce that I will be pursuing a book of poetry over the next several months. I am currently choosing 20 poems (my brother was born on the 20th of the month, so I've gone with this number in honor of him). While there are so many more poems that will not make this first edition, they will be set aside for a follow up. Alongside each poem will be a piece of my own art or photography.

I've long been a writer. For as long as I can remember, I enjoyed writing; honors English brought me to new heights as a teenager. But it wasn't until I took a creative writing class in the beginning of 11th grade where I wrote a poem titled Silence that was chosen for a literary magazine that I knewthis was my thing. I understood that God was speaking to me and helping me understand parts of myself and seeing those parts in others, connecting me to everyone.

Those days seem like days in another lifetime, but they laid the foundation for both the storytelling, songwriter and poet I eventually became.

The title of my poetry book will be, “When the Moon Speaks, listen.”

Time to eat! Love to all and stay tuned as this journey begins, I love having you all by my side XO

With undying gratitude,

KP
